School Overview

Choosing a college can be quite a challenge. However, with 26 baccalaureate degree majors, 49 associate-level majors, two certificate programs and 16 academic minors available at Alfred State, we’re confident we’ll have something that fits your passion and successfully prepares you for a fulfilling career.

Students learn by doing, through hands-on, project-based learning, and with the average class size being between 20-25 students and an 18:1 student to teacher ratio, you’ll get the personalized attention you need. We also have plenty of financial aid options available, from scholarships and grants to loans. You can choose from over 100 different clubs and organizations. Movies, comedy performances, concerts, cultural events, a campus radio station, student newspaper, intramural sports and drama club are all just a part of what happens here.
