Penn State Brandywine opened in 1967 and is one of 19 Penn State Commonwealth Campuses (and 24 total locations) across the state. It is located at 25 Yearsley Mill Road in Media.
LOCATION: Located in Media, Penn State Brandywine is Philadelphia's "next-door" neighbor. The 112 acres of parklike grounds lie just 20 miles west of the center of the city. The campus is easily accessible from I-95 and I-476 (the Blue Route), and via SEPTA public transportation.
ACADEMICS: Four-year baccalaureate degree programs are offered in: American Studies; Biology; Business; Communication Arts and Sciences; Communications; Engineering; English; Human Development and Family Studies; Information Sciences and Technology; Psychology; Philosophy; and Letters, Arts, and Sciences. The campus also offers the first two years of study in most of the over 275 baccalaureate degree programs available throughout the University. Two associate degree programs (Business and Letters, Arts, and Sciences) also are available. Internships, undergraduate research, and international study programs are available to students.
